I was going to post this as the Coxxorz Random Deal of the day (anybody notice the new widget?), but decided it may require some planning and discussion.

Those of you who know me know that I love eBay. I have made hundreds of purchases on eBay, including both of my XBox 360s, and have only had one bad experience that was eventually resolved. If you know what you're doing, you get great deals and great products. Also, the resellers don't tend to be morons.

Now, one of my 360s died last week and it is out of warranty. I decided the time had come to actually buy one new. So, as reported by Coxxorz and others, there were several XBox 360 deals this weekend. Walmart for $159 (Arcade). BB for $159 (Arcade) plus Fable II. There was even rumour of the 60GB version on sale at Costco for $199 (wild goose chase). Since I live in the boonies and didn't expect to be able to snag any of these, I had asked Graybush to pick one up for me if he could.

It's geeky as all hell, but really funny to the DB admins out there...

More and more Canadian retailers are jumping on the Black Friday shopping band wagon, but this year seems particularly insane.

Yes, this video comes from a land down under, where women glow and men plunder.... or in this case don't play mature rated games. Why is that? Well Australia lacks a M+ rating for games (which they hypocritically have for movies), so certain games like Fallout 3 need to be 'censored' or be banned from sale in the country. This is coupled with the fact that games there can cost almost 100$ CND, and takes months to get there after everyone else had it.

As you may recall, Wal-Mart had the Xbox 360 Arcade on sale for $149 not too long ago.

...I pick up the BluRay edition of Star trek at Best Buy just to snag the Enterprise! Why not? Same price as Future Shop and I get a cool displaycase/model to boot! Okay.. I'll probably put the disks in an actual DVD case and will have to go to the trouble of making cover art but a sweet deal to be sure. The pics from the web cam suck but the model is well detailed.

This new series is well, a little better, though the special effects are still pretty cartoonie. Though the plot is more or less the same as the original (thus far). ** SPOILERS ** Slight differences, like the aliens are in sleeper cells and have been on earth for many years planning.
