But I am a random grunt and am not entitled to have calendar events promoted to the front page.
And no, I am NOT bitter.
A story not an event. You could have posted event and copy and pasted into a separate story. Which we had been doing until we figured out the back asswards procedure for promoting an event to the front page.
The extra maps (which are really buried in the menus) take 1 second each to download.
And yes, Stormblade had already posted this. To the front page, even.
I moved his post to the front page.
After he bitched about not being able to.
And you can not do it from inside the event. You have to go to Administer >> Content and then find the event in the list and Edit from there.
Back Asswards.
And in actual fact, you can promote to front page while creating an event. It's in the publishing options.

I posted a story as WE discussed in YOUR CAR on the way back from EBGames after buying my copy of Wolfenstein.
In fact, that is when we came up with the BJ headline which would have been wasted if I hadn't posted a separate story.
