The Herd of Cats 2008 Pintsie Awards!

Ottawa, Canada. January 15, 2009 – Contributing Editors: Coxxorz, Q-Bert, Blackwalt and Stormblade.

First there was the Oscars, and then there was the Golden Globes, and then there was the People's Choice Awards and then there was... well, you can keep going on like that for a while but eventually somewhere toward the end, under the barrel, below the pond scum you get to... wait for it... The Herd of Cat's Pintsie Awards! With 2008 being the first full year that Herd of Cats has been in existence it seemed time to recognize our members, our contributors and our cat. And you can only find them here. What this says about them I have no idea.

So our four renowned panelists have sweat tears and blood for hours (mine took five minutes) while paging through the 2008 site archives, looking for the few diamonds in the rough deserving of a coveted Pintsie Award. The final choices are inarguable (although I know you will) and show that there are no bounds that HoCers won't go to (or sink to) for a story, for that riveting piece of journalist integrity (HAHAHAHAHA) that keeps you stuck to your monitor hoping for more...

Some quick notes:
• all links will open in a seperate tab/page so you won't lose your spot. Whew! I knew you were worried
• we are trying something different with the story going across multiple page. The next/previous links are all manually entered so I hope we got them right.
• the awards were written by different people so there will be some discrepancies from item to item. They should all be formatted the same but you may run into minor issues.

And now, without further ado, The 2008 HoC Awards. Let the dissension begin:
