Best Original Content of the Year

The envelope please. Thank you. And the Pintsie goes to: An inauspicious 70G by Blackwalt.

This was a hard one. The site had a lot more original content than I would have thought. A lot of it covering gaming nights but not all. The majority of the original content was written by Blackwalt which is no surprise to anyone I am sure.

This winning story just had it all. It was about gaming, it had open mockery of Moricerevek and Stormblade, it had sarcasm, it had shock value and it had lots of pictures and graphics used well. I laughed as I reread the article and all the comments and enjoyed the approach it took. And it had some great quotes:

• "...StormBlade and MoriceRevek are losers and frankly, I am okay with that,"
• "...such simple words to start our little conspiracy. Our conspiracy of hate,"
• "Well who has completed their races now? Guess what my countdown is? That's right, it's ZERO!!! Zero!!!! A big whopping bunch of nothing!!"

This was a tough one. We only had a few new members this year that actually took the time to visit the site on a regular basis, let alone post. I give props to Graybush for making the effort and being a valued new member, but I have to give the award to A Troll. When it comes to sparking intellectual intercourse on a variety of topics (Macs, Canadians, Rock Band), nobody offends on as many fronts (and as frequently) as our favourite American.

Biggest Event of the Year

The Pintsie goes to: Zombie Apocalypse

This was a fairly easy choice: we had lots of members present (and some online), including some who are not traditionally Xbox 360 gamers. Good food, combined with good gaming and spontaneous Nerf antics always spells a good time. And with a 4-player co-op game like Left 4 Dead on the menu, the Herd was in fine form, truly living up to its name.

And the final HoC Award is an Honourary Pintsie for the most procrastinating Admin
