Paradise Lost

So...

It quickly became clear from Thursday night's race/stunt/crash-fest that certain members of this clan don't like Burnout Paradise for a reason... they suck at it.

Now I may be exaggerating a little here. To be fair, this was a certain someone's first full night of playing, and all things considered, his virgin exposure to the Burnout series as a whole went rather well.

So I have to give him credit for his persistence.

I mean, how many people would have the fortitude to try landing a simple barrel roll time...






...and time...






...and time again?


It takes sheer determination to put that kind of effort into the game's easiest stunt, and we salute you. Lesser men would have withered at the sight of the challenge.

And speaking of sight, this image is now permanently burned into my television screen.

Does anyone know how to remove it?

But the night was not a total loss.

Blackwalt learned that the Live camera doesn't support "Smell-o-vision" in this release.

MoriceRevek discovered a way to phase through his opponents.

And in the end, a good time was had by all, as the sun set and we took our sweet rides (including Stormblade's fatass Monte Carlo) for a cruise and performed some vintage "jump the parked cars" stunts to impress da ladies.

I give this game a WIN/10.
