Zombies. The Giant. Round 24
Where Blackwalt discovered that he can play with Graybush or with DethCon5 but not BOTH!
So "The Giant" is a remake of Der Riese and we, almost all of us, have played Der Riese a lot. World at War, Black Ops, and now Black Ops 3. My position has always been the same. I play up front on the Catwalk of Hope and Love, usually on the right.
And this worked for me. Until...
Just breaking into the middle rounds, establishing our position on the Catwalk SeanMCR compared the Headshot/Score count between DethCon5 and Graybush. Dethcon5 was in the lead. Followed by Graybush then SeanMCR... and then, toddling along like the little brother nobody wants, there was me. With next to nothing. Few kills, few headshots and, worse, no money.
I then noticed that Dethcon5, Graybush and SeanMCR had perks, good weapons and upgraded weapons. I had a perk and two basic weapons, my best one from off the wall.
"Umm, why do I have no money?"
It turns out that with both Graybush and DethCon5 in the same game Zombies are an endangered species. Zombies died as soon as they appeared leaving me with nothing to shoot at. Since they were both covering the same direction as I, I was left with a scarce serving of thirds. And there were no thirds. SeanMCR, having realized the issue early, was doing okay by shooting out the window to the side killing his own share of zombies. Me? Nothing.
By the time Graybush and Dethcon5 were upgrading their weapons for the second time I realized there was a problem (the second upgrade is just for bonus effects, no additional ammo). I had yet to upgrade one weapon let alone both. I needed to start earning something to be useful in the later rounds and I needed to earn it soon.
So under the derisive taunts of everyone else I gave up my cherished front position and cowered in the back to shoot out the window. You know, at zombies that weren't mysteriously disappearing as soon as they appeared. Mysteriously. Strangely enough I discovered the sniper rifle (Drakon) was pretty useful in this spot. Who knew?
This worked and thanks to SeanMCR I almost caught up to him (in kills) by the time the zombies overpowered us at Round 29.
Round 29 wasn't bad for us, particularly when I was handicapped (more than normal) by the over exuberance of the Graybush Clan.
I am not looking forward to the day I play with Graybush, DethCon5 and DarthLordLogan. I will never move off of the starting pistol.
