"My God, it's full of MegaPiranha!"

"Will you all quit moving around? It's so frustrating! I think I counted one of you twice!"

Those are Megapiranhas. There may be more than one of them. In the state I was in (at the time) one would have been sufficient to kill my character. Overkill.

So Coxxorz and I may have bit off more than we could chew. We decided to explore a cave system. Apparently this is supposed to be meant for higher ranked players. Higher ranked than us.

It went well enough that we may have got cocky. We paid for that cockiness. Paid dearly.

We killed a large number of Titanoboas (worse than it sounds) and a small flock of Onycs (bats). We had even killed the boss Titanoboa and rifled its inventory.

Which we then lost when we went further.

My corpse and inventory were lost forever after several attempts to rescue it. Coxxorz ended up sacrificing himself when we took two more steps toward what looked like the end of the cave.

There were more snakes and more Onyc and even a Pulmonoscorpius or two (giant scorpion).

We had been smart enough to plant sleeping bags this last time (after losing my inventory). A sleeping bag allows for a single respawn to wherever it is planted.

So we had one chance to get Coxxorz's inventory back.

Blackwalt: "I'll spawn first and run through the monsters and drag them away from your inventory."

Coxxorz: "Okay... sure."

Blackwalt: "It'll work."

Blackwalt spawns and runs through the monsters. The monsters turn and chase after my character.

Coxxorz spawns and ambles up to his inventory.

Coxxorz: "I got it."

Blackwalt: "Excellent. I am just going to keep running and see if I can get to the blue thing." (something we thought was the goal of the cave crawl)

Coxxorz: "Did I mention it was on a separate pedestal. Across a gap."

Blackwalt: (arriving at a significant gap between rock platforms) "No you did not. I am going to try to jump it."

Coxxorz: "You can't make that."

Blackwalt: "I can't turn around."

Blackwalt jumps and does not make it.

Blackwalt: "I didn't make it. Falling to my death."

Coxxorz: "I'm leaving."

As our heroes split up, something surprising happens.

Blackwalt: (following a loud splash) "I lived!"

Coxxorz: "What? How?"

Blackwalt: "I landed in deep water. I'm going to try to swim out."

Coxxorz: "K. I'm almost out of the cave."

Blackwalt starts swimming. After thirty seconds I get a hit marker from behind.

Blackwalt: "I just got hit." Turns around. "It's a piranha. Oh my god."

Coxxorz: "What?"

Blackwalt: "The lake is full of Megapiranha! Oh my God, it's full of MegaPiranha!"

The top photo showing the sky full of Megapiranha was only in one direction. Ever direction I spun looked like that and I could see more swimming in.

I'm glad Coxxorz saved his inventory but he was right. It was a stupid plan.
