City of Ottawa now available in Minecraft block form

By Blackwalt - Posted on 10 January 2016

geoOttaWOW has created "a Minecraft world based on data sets used in geoOttawa"

Above is a photo of the Minecrafted center block of the Parliament Building. It took some help from Rolly to get Guba and I to this point but we managed. The individual buildings and roads are not built directly in Minecraft but 3D formed out of Minecraft blocks based on the geoOttawa data. It was still cool to wander around the Parliament blocks and drop down to the canal.

The recently-unveiled GeoOttaWow lets Minecraft players explore and refashion Ottawa's streets, houses, train tracks, as well as major buildings like Parliament Hill and City Hall.

Via Guba who spotted it on CBC.ca.
