Catching up with Monster Hunter: World

By Blackwalt - Posted on 26 August 2017

I realized I am posting hand-ons before we even talked about the game

Monster Hunter: World™ introduces a living, breathing ecosystem in which players strive to become the ultimate hunter. Explore a vast new continent and slay terrifying monsters in heart-pounding co-op battles for up to four players. The first worldwide launch in the series on PlayStation®4 and Xbox One in early 2018.

So it is possible, although unlikely, that I occasionally go off on tangents about different games. Sometimes this works out (Borderlands, Dead Island) and sometimes it doesn't (Operation Raccoon City). Sometimes the games are only of interest to certain Clan Members (The Crew, Ark Survival Involved, Fortnite). If nothing else, it does provide us with content.

Monster Hunter: World appears to be one of those tangents. It will probably land in the third category edging toward the first. It is a four player cooperative game, it is open world, and it targets giant monsters which appear to be a cross between dinosaurs and dragons. No zombies that I can tell but it still hits many of the HoC Points of Interest.

I did go directly to a Hands-on video with out really thinking about it. Today I am going to make up for that with trailers and game information and features directly from the Monster Hunter: World Official Site.
