Coffin has been received and shipped

By Blackwalt - Posted on 05 September 2007

It doesn't look like a coffin. It doesn't look like a coffin. So my original call to MS Xbox support was Tuesday August 28th.

I received the "coffin" for shipping my 3RLOD Xbox 360 yesterday, Tuesday September 4th. And while it seems like a week (exactly a week) it was within the 3-5 business days promised. Four in fact.

The packing instructions were very clear excluding a reference to included pressure tape for resealing the box. No tape was included. Duh, I had to provide my own. Hope this doesn't void the warranty.

I also felt that the styrofoam and packing was a little flimsy so I stress tested it. The standard Guba way – by dropping it down my front steps. Truth. Hey, it passed!

The picture is after the stress test and as you can see, no (visible) damage. My lego models that Guba stress tests usually fail. Horribly! I have no idea how Imperial troops ever survived in those things...

So its packed and waiting to be picked up by Purolator to go out to Microsoft repair.

I'll track it online and keep you updated.

The last owner really let this place go, I hope they find a good realtor I did not make an offer....
