Mac'ing on a budget

It might seem odd that I was looking for an Apple Mighty Mouse for the Mac Mini (G4) that I picked up cheap.

But truthfully, I wasn't. Really. But...

So I am in Future Shop with Hardw00d and Coxxorz and Hardw00d is negotiating a new iMac. On the shelf in the Mac accessories section in a wired Mighty Mouse in a plastic bag. So I look at it. $14.97 with a full warranty. Hmmm.... not bad. No manual or box but who needs those.

Shortly after that, still carrying the $14.97 mouse, I walked by a display of wireless mice. You know what? I think I'd rather but the $14.97 toward a wireless mouse. So I walked back to the Apple section and put the $14.97 mouse back on the shelf. I told the supervisor there "I think I'd rather but the $14.97 toward a wireless mouse."

He (Tristan btw) took the $14.97 Mighty Mouse off the shelf and asked me "would you pay $5 for it?"

Why yes, yes I would. So he marked down $4.97 onto the $14.97 Mighty Mouse and handed it back to me.

And that's how my bargain basement Apple Mac Mini (G4) ended up with a bargain basement $4.97 Apple Mighty Mouse. Which works fine btw as I tested it extensively last night.
