Why am I not surprised

This is after spending 400 MS points on an export license

So in attempting to export my Rock Band 1 songs into Rock Band 2 I ran into this error. You have to spend 400 MS points to get to this point of course.

My Rock Band 1 disc works fine when playing (although I may not have hit the flawed song) but not when exporting. I get just past one third through. Fortunately, thanks to exceptional programming on Microsoft's part, if it fails on one song the entire process stops and fails!

Does anyone have an Xbox 360 Rock Band 1 disc I can borrow for 30 minutes? No reason.
