Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare bonus mission

After the credits. After!

In Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare after the credits finish you get an additional bonus mission "A Mile High." It's a timed run through of a two level airplane to rescue a VIP. If you click to bypass the credits you don't get the mission.

The last scene has you sniping a terrorist with your silenced pistol before he kills the hostage he is holding. Stupid hostage won't stop wiggling. And then you blow the door and jump out.

Jump out.

Of a perfectly good airplane. What the heck? Sure it's depressurized, sure there were some explosions, and sure it might be a little on fire, but still... jump out?

But I did it because Captain Price ordered me to and I'm more afraid of him than I am of plummeting to my (admittedly virtual) death. He's a serious badass.

The above picture of the Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Heart Breakers and Life Takers pops up as a reward for completing the bonus mission.

I have done this mission twice in the past two weeks and the last run through had me using an MP5, a P-90 and a M1014. Good times.

If you complete this on Veteran difficulty you earn an achievement. This is unlikely to happen for me as you have to get to the credits in the first place and then they restrict the time so much that it is very difficult to earn.

I did however get an achievement on the plane:

It was a little cruel to stab a guy when he was down but, hey, 10 points is 10 points.
