To pick or not to pick...

So I find myself in the position of disallowing votes.

If you remember this:

• anyone who cares to can post their choice with 2 honourable mentions in the comments sections

and more importantly this:

• Entries without the full three options will be discarded otherwise the points will be skewed

Well guess what, they're skewed.

For the "Game of the Year" and the "Original Content of the Year" Awards dropping a vote made little difference. In fact, I only discounted one vote (technically). I take that back, first place "Original Content" was legitimate but second and third could have gone either way. My bad. Since I do this by myself things can be unreliable. No kidding.

I have been assigning points values to the votes. 5 for first, 3 for second, and 1 for third. Then totaling the votes.

But I keep forgetting who I am dealing with.

For "Event of the Year" and "Video of the Year" I find I have to discount votes as some HoC only voted for one item. That 5 extra points skews the results. More importantly the missing 3 points and even the missing 1 point does in fact change the results drastically.

So if you want your votes to count, resubmit them with 2 honourable mentions in the comments sections. Entries without the full three options will be discarded.

If nothing changes I will be assigning the Awards randomly.
