Police to launch investigation into "suspicious" Fort McMurray apartment fire
Displaced residents urged not to leave the city until interviewed.
Evacuees of the Parsons Creek Landing fire that destroyed the north wing of a Timberlea apartment complex have been asked to contact the local police department for questioning, after witnesses to the blaze claim to have heard agitated shouting and threats prior to the sudden blaze.
According to information released at a meeting held Monday, a number of residents were awakened earlier on the night of the fire by the sound of a man screaming "This is bullshit! I WILL KILL YOU ALL!!!"
The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing, though Shelter Canadian Properties Ltd., the company responsible for building management are currently not commenting.
