In keeping with the rodent theme (mice, rats ... work with me here), here is the list of Pinky & the Brain "Are you pondering what I'm pondering?" quotes that was published in the Inquireror many moons ago. Enjoy.

THE COMPLETE "PINKY, ARE YOU PONDERING WHAT I'M PONDERING?" LIST

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

B: It must be inordinately taxing to be such a boob.
P: You have no idea.

AN 102 - Win Big
B: Pinky, AYPWIP?
P: Uh, I think so, Brain, but where will we find a duck and a hose at this hour?

AN 109 - Where Rodents Dare
B: Pinky, AYPWIP?
P: I think so, but where will we find an open tattoo parlor at this time of night? ***

AN 115 - Battle for the Planet
B: Pinky, AYPWIP?
P: Wuh, I think so, Brain, but if we didn't have ears, we'd look like weasels.

AN 118 - Pavlov's Mice
B: Are you thinking what I'm thinking, Pinky? ***
P: Uh... yeah, Brain, but where are we going to find rubber pants our size? ***

AN 124 - Opportunity Knox
B: Pinky, AYPWIP?
P: Uh, I think so, Brain, but balancing a family and a career ... oooh, it's all too much for me.

AN 127 - Jockey for Position
B: Pinky, AYPWIP?
P: Wuh, I think so, Brain, but isn't Regis Philbin already married?

AN 134 - Bubba Bo Bob Brain
B: Pinky, AYPWIP?
P: Uh, I think so, Brain, but burlap chafes me so.

AN 138 - Spell-Bound
B: AYPWIP, Pinky? ***
P: Sure, Brain, but how are we going to find chaps our size? ***

AN 140 - Puppet Rulers
B: Pinky, AYPWIP?
P: Uh, I think so, Brain, but we'll never get a monkey to use dental floss.

AN 144 - The World Can Wait
B: Pinky, AYPWIP?
P: Uh, I think so, Brain, but this time, you wear the tutu.

AN 147 - When Mice Ruled the Earth
B: Pinky, AYPWIP?
P: I think so, Brain, but culottes have a tendency to ride up so.

AN 152 - Yes, Always

***** NOT PERFORMED *****

AN 154 - Brain Meets Brawn
B: Pinky, AYPWIP?
P: I think so, Brain, but if they called them sad meals, kids wouldn't buy them.

AN 156 - The Helpinky Formula
B: Pinky, AYPWIP?
P: I think so, Brain, but me and Pippi Longstocking... I mean, what would the children look like?

AN 158 - Meet John Brain
B: Pinky, AYPWIP?
P: I think so, Brain, but this time, you put the trousers on the chimp.

AN 160 - The Cranial Crusader
B: Pinky, AYPWIP?
P: Well, I think so, Brain, but I can't memorize a whole opera in Yiddish.

There has been a Pinky, AYPWIP? in each P&TB episode, except "Yes, Always," in which the two are basically seen out-of-character and not involved in trying to take over the world. Conversely, the full AYPWIP has never been used in their cameo appearances. (The closest was in the Rita and Runt episode "Of Nice and Men", where Brain makes a cameo
appearance as George's pet mouse, and as he's flung away, comments to the viewer, AYPWIP? This does not count as Pinky is not present for his usual non-sequitor reply - which is what we are really interested in hearing.)
It's also interesting to note Pinky's obsession with clothing for his lower body - rubber pants, chaps, a tutu, trousers, and culottes - those divided skirts that look like extremely full-cut pants. And why would Pinky wear culottes, anyway? Hmmmm. Of course, there was the time in Noah's Lark where he was in drag and commented, "These pantyhose are
killing me, Brain. I think I prefer knee-highs." Uh oh. Pinky a cross-dresser! Someone call Phar Fignewton... or Geraldo! "Cartoon Transvestite Anti-Social Mice - and the Evil Geniuses who Love Them - on the next Geraldo!" Zort. Sorry, Brain.
I put asterixes next to quotes that break the usual pattern of "Pinky, AYPWIP, Uh, I think so, Brain, but ..." The only explanation I can think of to explain them is poor translation. Obviously, Pavlov's Mice would speak Russian, and when it was translated into English, the subtle nuances were lost; hence "pondering" becomes the more prosaic "thinking," and Pinky is made to seem more confident in his reply. A similar problem must have occurred with the shift from Old/Middle English to today's English in Spell-Bound.
Lastly, I have heard that there have been other usages of AYPWIP, most notably on a commercial for Animaniacs, in which Pinky's response is something about the Queen and a jet-ski. I have never seen this, nor have I been able to get a copy of "You Will Buy This Tape" to see if any new bits have been added. If anyone would care to enlighten me, I'll
include it in a future update.
