Exploring a mystery
When Graybush and I were exploring Los Santos and surrounding areas last Wednesday the first thing I did was steal a helicopter and fly Graybush up to the top of the highest mountain. because we could.
As we were exploring the cable car building at he top of the mountain we discovered this graffiti on the wall (amalgamated out of two images fyi).
It looked a lot like a hint of some kind.
We decided that it was indeed a break away image of the inside of the mountain including rooms that contained a UFO, an Easter egg and a jet pack.
But how to get in? I saw that there should be tunnel entrances to the sides of the mountain so I dragged Graybush back to the helicopter and we flew around the mountain a couple of times looking for a secret entrance.
And found nothing.
Graybush suggested checking out the top of the mountain and looking for the Eye thingy but before we could do that we got distracted. What can I say, Grand Theft Auto Online is a huge open world with lots of distractions. Plus once we walked too far from the helicopter we were too lazy to walk back.
So yesterday, sans Graybush, I flew back to the mountain top and searched the top of the mountain for any sign of the Eye thingy. And found this:
Spray painted graffiti under the viewing point matching the Eye drawing.
Something was definitely around. I went looking.
And looking.
And looking.
I searched around the viewing point. I checked through the pay telescopes. I checked the cliff surfaces all around.
And then and only then did I decide to check around the viewing point. Examining it closely.
Which is when I found the following clue scratched into the wood decking:
I really had to play with the image to get the text visible. More visible.
It says "come back when your story is complete." Which I translated into "finish your single player game or no Easter egg for you."
Dammit.
So yes, we found an Easter egg in GTA Online but we aren't allowed to access it until we finish the single player campaign.
Wait? They are extorting me to finish their game? How oddly appropriate for Grand Theft Auto. But I don't have to like it.
Maybe it is enough to play with someone else who has finished the game? I wonder if Moricerevek is finished the single player?

Stop making me want this game!
I have finished the single player game.
Note: when you finish it, make sure to stay in the game after the credits. It's worth it.
