Back from Taiwan with content!

Some of this stuff you just can't make up.

My wife and I just got back from Taiwan where we spent our 'Honeymoon' (Hey, I figure it qualifies even if it's a year ... and a bit ... late). It was fun. It was awesome. It was filled with 'Hello Kitty' stuff.

Just in case you didn't think the first one was real:

I'm not kidding. I was warned when we got on the Evva Air flight in Toronto. They had Hello Kitty cups with their meals. They also were advertising models of Evva Air planes decorated in Hello Kitty colours ...

Once we landed, the level of Hello Kittyness was surreal. They had, in no particular order, Hello Kitty phone cases, computer cases, mice, USB sticks, candies, gum, toothbrushes, toilet paper (really), surgical masks (all the rage in Asia, due to pollution), dinnerware, taxis, buses, etc. It was truly remarkable. Blackwalt would have been in heaven.

It's possible I may have picked up a few mementos ...

Lot's of other zaniness as well, but I figure I can milk this for several posts of original content, which should appease a certain site admin with attitude problems.
