Extinction Mayday: all SeanMCR, no waiting

Although it did take two tries...

So sometime in the past two weeks we became determined to finish the Call of Duty Extinction mode. Yesterday we succeeded. Well... two out of four of us did.

Previously we documented our completion of Extinction: Point of Contact, Extinction: Nightfall, Extinction: Awakening and now Extinction: Mayday.

It was mentioned that while Coxxorz helped us with Nightfall, Awakening and (technically) Mayday he was absent for Nightfall. Graybush in turn helped us with Point of Contact, Nightfall and Mayday but missed Awakening.

SeanMCR and Blackwalt hope that Coxxorz and Graybush enjoy playing Extinction together because thanks but we have had enough. Good luck to you both.

And now to talk about last night's 'win':

The above photo is from Thursday nights completion of Mayday. I have an identical photo from Wednesday where we finished two minutes from the end. Massive fail at the last moment.

Thurday's game though? Right through to the end, finishing off the Kraken for the win and earning a plot filling cutscene. Which certainly helped make more sense of the Awakening map. "Oh, that's why we were in the pyramid colony! Of course..."

Mayday was almost finished with only three player's as there was no sign of Coxxorz all night. At around 10:46, however, I chose to send him a "Mayday" email. Literally "Mayday - only three of us so far."

At 11:30 he responded "Still 3?"

Immediately after I confirmed with "yep. Chlorine next. You can join in just in time for the finale" an Xbox Live message appeared, "Coxxorz has started playing Call of Duty Ghosts."

The "Chlorine next" means that Coxxorz joined in immediately after Hive 12. "But there are only 12 hives" you say. Yes, you would be correct.

So pretty much the easiest and shortest Extinction map that Coxxorz has played and it earned him a 30G achievement. I would have to say that is the smart way to do it. I would also have to that he sucks.

Note that he joins with essentially nothing in the way of gear and money and everyone had to "donate" money just to bring him up to HoC effectiveness levels.

So the final present tally for HoC members in Call of Duty Extinction is Coxxorz 2.1, SeanMCR 4, Blackwalt 4, Graybush 3, DethCon5 2.
