Like a piece of my childhood has died

By Stormblade - Posted on 27 February 2015

Leonard Nimoy passed away today. It almost seems unreal. Star Trek has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Spock was always my favourite character. I remember getting 'Spock ears' for Christmas as a kid and learning to perform the Vulcan greeting with both hands.

As far as I can tell, HoC consists mostly of Star Wars fans. I like Star Wars, but to me Star Trek has always been the Sci-Fi series I really related to. It makes me feel old to see the original cast die out.

Live long and prosper, Leonard, wherever you are.

But having practically grown up with the Enterprise crew every Saturday morning, this hits almost as hard as losing someone in my actual family.

Goodbye, old friend.
