Over the wall and into Hell

Ok, I admit it.

I have NO idea what took me so long to get an XBox 360. Maybe it was anti-Microsoft sentiment, maybe it was lack of funds (more likely). I don't know.

But when I fired up Call of Duty 3 last night, I just couldn't believe my eyes. I have never seen anything or played anything like that. It was so pretty, I wanted to cry.

After taking the prescribed truck ride to the front and having it blown up underneath me, we're ordered over this low wall. When I got lifted over the wall, I have to admit, I got goosebumps. There was more beautifully detailed mayhem and chaos in that one scene than I had ever seen in a video game before. I was literally overwhelmed for a couple of minutes. I pinned myself to a wall and tried to figure out what to do next. I quickly recovered and got into it, and spent the next hour in video game heaven.

I am heading to the Laurentians for the weekend. I am bringing the XBox. I wonder if I will see the outside?
