HoC experiences Dying Light: Make up your own damn mind

No flame war for you!

In a last ditch effort (I assume) to prevent the oncoming flame war between Blackwalt and SeanMCR and between Blackwalt and... uh... everyone else Techland has announced the release of a Dying Light demo.

That's right. A demo. A full six months after Dying Light's original release date (January 27th) a demo will be released on Xbox One, PC, and Playstation 4. As a late adopter of Dying Light I say now is your chance to understand my addiction and join me in my downward anti-zombie spiral.

August 26th is the rumoured release date for the demo. I have also read "this week" so August 26th seems reasonable.

Special thanks to Techland who have become one of the great peacemakers of our time. Particularly among Herd of Cats. There should be some kind of Nobel Prize for that.

The best information I have found about this comes from Dealspwn who also mention a possible upcoming price reduction:

We've just received confirmation from Dying Light's UK publishing PR team that a demo will indeed be coming to the PS4, Xbox One and PC. Demos are a rare thing nowadays, especially so many months after a game is already out. But a demo for Dying Light is a very smart move from Techland and Warner Bros.

The timing seems to work as Techland and Warner Bros. are just about to release a major DLC for Dying Light called the following. A trailer for the new DLC is included below under the Bonus Random Video. So maybe it wasn't random. Except it is still possible that it was random... how do we prove it wasn't random? Ow my brain hurts.
