Desperately seeking a new game

Frontlines

Has it really been 3 months since my last blog post?? Geez. Slacker.

Anyway, I am stuck in a conundrum. I am simply am running out of games to play. I still play COD4 regularly, but it's getting a little old. The last purchase (GTA IV) was a disaster and will absolutely become the first game I have ever traded in. I simply do not wish to see it in my collection anymore and I can't bear just throwing it out after spending $65 (whimper) on it. R6V2 was nearly as bad, but I have managed to keep playing it, except for the fact that I am stuck on a level where I am by myself and the bad guys keep killing me no matter what I do. It gets tiring after the, oh, 100th failure.

So what to do. I could play Halo 3 again (HA! HA! I crack myself up!!). Assassin's Creed is finished. I have Mass Effect, Gears of War, and Gun, but none of them really inspire me.

So, I have broken down and bought Frontlines: Fuel of War from eBay for $20. I will at least give it a shot. There's no WAY it can be worse than GTA, and for less than a third of the price, I'll risk it.

It should be here before the weekend. I'll let you know how it goes.

Lost Odesey, but I think this is one of those games wher eyou will probably like or really hate. Try renting before buying.

...give Mass Effect a try. I played through the whole thing a couple of times with different classes. Though I will tell you this the DLC was disappointing only lasted about an hour.

If you do, word of advice choose the soldier class (default character type) it's a lot more fun. I did infiltrator then Soldier there are a lot more perks to playing a soldier. Wish I knew that in the beginning.

Also, you never asked for help on R6V2.

You know the members of this site. Help would consist of 'Stop running into their bullets, moron!"

"I thought I was supposed to kill off our entire team with the grenade to complete this level"

And the ever populare

"Let go crouch behind that train car" which of course leads to 4 grenades being dropped on the ground.

But that would be like punching through a brick wall for you. It just won't happen.

I dunno about punching, but GTA4 almost had him banging his head through one. I have to admit I'm close to trading it myself, but helicopter racing holds a strange attraction for me. At least I always have CoD4 to fall back on, even if it's just me and Troll.

you get on too late. Even for me and I'm two hours behind you!!

I do enjoy the taxi simulator. Oh, and I did unlock the Warm Coffee achievement.

There will be Lego: Indiana Jones. I had fun with the Star Wars version. Bioshock was a very good game. If you want to go a bit older, Oblivion is a very good fantasy RPG. Both of these are single player though. I don't know if there is anything worth mentioning coming down the pipe.
