Bargain Corner shopping with Coxxorz
Oh the pain! The pain!
So I made the mistake of shopping with Coxxorz today. It was deal-icious as it turned out. It was theoretically a HD-DVD run but it turned out more of an Xbox run. Although Coxxorz did find an HD-DVD copy of Jet-Li's Fearless for $7.99 at Best Buy.
It started better than I thought. I spotted a $5 bill lying in the parking lot with no one around. Even after pointing it out to Coxxorz and encumbered by a large Double-Double I still managed to beat him to it. I hope the owner of that Toyota isn't too shocked by the dent where Coxxorz got hip checked into it.
Anyhow after a Best Buy visit we moved on Future Shop to discover the Halo 3 Missile Case on sale for $9.99. I grabbed one and headed for the cash.
- C – You know if you go back to Best Buy they will price match it and subtract 10% of the difference.
BW – It's not worth it, I'll just get it here.
C – Don't you still have a Best Buy gift card?
BW – Doh! Damn your Vulcan logic! (not exactly what I said but the spirit was there)
So back we went to Best Buy and a purchase of $9.60 (total) for an item originally priced $24.99. Not bad.
...for a start.
Since I changed my Account Picture to the Batman image from the cover of Justice League Heroes I have been on the look out for the original Xbox game. Under the assumption that my Nephew who I should be seeing next week will love to play it. Not me, nope, not at all...
So I have been checking out EBgames stores looking for it used. And since there was an EBgames in the same mall...
So we went into EBgames and lo and behold they had a copy of Justice League Heroes in what I thought was the used section for $9.98. I grabbed Coxxorx's EDGE card and headed for the cash.
- GEBG* –You have your EDGE card there, would you prefer the used copy?
BW – I thought that was a used copy so sure. How much is the used one?
GEBG* – $5. $4.50 with the EDGE discount
C (choking)–You just paid for that with the $5 you found!
Five bucks is five bucks and who laughs at a free game?
So the deal-icious bargain shopping trip turned out well for me and was humorously improved by Coxxorz's realization that he had paid more for the Halo 3 Missile Case during a Boxing Day sale!
Sweet.
Note: the deal receipts are in the picture but impossible to read. An idea that didn't really pan out but I was too lazy to setup another shot.

Everyone knows it's for holding Smarties, not accessories. The lack of a handle pretty much negates any point of "carrying" anything in it.
