Back to Vegas: Sega Nite with Rainbow Six Vegas
A violent, repetitive reminder that 'B' is not crouch
So I hesitate to call our return to Rainbow Six Vegas a success. It was definitely a reminder of friendly fire, 'B' is not crouch, and no respawns. We failed in our mission a lot. Every time in fact.
The only successful aspect of our night in Vegas was the proof that Xbox 360 Backwards Compatibility works. For the most part.
A couple of issues:
-
while the game will install on an external drive, you do need some space available on the primary system drive.
- "Even though you are using external storage for Rainbow Six Vegas, the game or app needs to reserve 4 GB on your Xbox. Uninstall something else, then try again (error code)."
-
you need the Xbox 360 Guide to invite friends and accept invites. The Xbox 360 Guide is accessed by the completely intuitive press the View and Menu buttons at the same time.
Setting up our first game took a while for Graybush and I. We had little success in our first few maps. Call of Duty had ruined us for the more strategic Rainbow Six Vegas. Things did not really improve after Coxxorz/Pwn Call joined us:
There was a lot of Team Killing this past Sega Nite. Some of it was even accidental.
Rainbow Six Vegas co-op terrorist hunt counts down the number of surviving terrorists. Our last and best map showed us a very sarcastic "1" as Graybush and I watched Coxxorz get mowed down by a terrorist hiding behind a terrorist door.
That was the closet we got to a success in Vegas.
