HoC Random Good Black Ops 3 Score of the Day - 11252015
After weeks of complaints a miracle of a good game finally happened
SeanMCR, Graybush and I do not play Black Ops 3 quietly. There is a litany of complaints against the Call of Duty series developers, the publishers, the internet, LAG, and corner campers. Top complaints:
- how do I put a clip into his back and then he can turn around and kill me with one bullet?
- This isn't the first online game they have made, how can the networking code still suck?
- That kill cam isn't even close to what happened!
- I'm getting hit markers yet I am not killing him!
Now I am not the best Call of Duty player. Never have been but I am used to getting the occasional good game. I am used to being above .500 fairly often. I don't think I have an above .500 record for at least three iterations but in individual games? Yes, often.
Yet.
I have been first place in Black Ops 3 twice. On the top three leader board photo maybe five times.
Above .500? Very infrequently. And never consistently.
Still, however, it is possible to get a good score (by our standards). I think it has happened twice. Including this time.
I don't really know why we are still playing it either...
NOTE: This happened last Friday. I have had one 20 kill game since.

Several factors can negatively affect your performance while playing games online. Often collectively described as lag, these factors can lead to a host of in-game performance issues, including:
Rubber banding – Your character is running toward a destination and then jumps back to where it was a few seconds prior.
Stuttering – An effect that makes your character appear to freeze and skip ahead while moving.
Hit marker delays – When it appears you have landed several shots on an enemy, yet the enemy is able to kill you with fewer shots fired back.
Lag can also result in your getting booted from a match or from the multiplayer lobby while matchmaking.

So from now on, I'm just going to refer to our issues as HMD.
I particularly like this last, useful, message: "Unfortunately, there aren’t many things you can do to improve your ping, as it is mainly dependent upon the quality and scope of your Internet Service Provider and your geographic location in relation to servers."
Translation...not our problem.
What do you expect from a game that's expected to make $1B by the end of the year
