Who needs you guys?

I had a little extra time today so I thought I would take a shot at The Giant on my own. I traditionally do not like fighting zombies on my own because, although back covering is not traditional HoC modus operandi, there is at least some comfort in being able to blame someone when a zombie chews on my back.

But, the fact is, I desperately wanted to reach level 20 so I could start upgrading the stupid rifle you get right at the beginning (whose name has escaped me at the moment) and I didn't want to wait until I could get a co-op match going.

Normally, I just die in single-player. Die and die quickly. This time things just seemed to go well. By the end, I had four perks, two pack-a-punched rifles and the Catwalk of Hope and Love™ all to myself. I had a nearly 50% headshot ratio. I was laughing at the hopelessness of the zombie horde as it faced the wrath of my anger. I was going to Level 40 on my own and nothing would stop me.

Then, after throwing a grenade to make some floor guys before the level ended, I noticed something. Something shiny, out of the corner of my eye. There, in the courtyard below the CoHaL was a Max Ammo. Now, I was a little low on ammo, but not too bad. I had lots of money and one of my rifles was the KN-44, which had ammo I could purchase right at the bottom of the stairs. I didn't need that Max Ammo. But ... it was shiny. And I could get it, no problem.

I went for it. Jumped out the window, grabbed the Max Ammo and headed back towards the CoHaL. At the door of the building was a rather large number of zombies, waiting for me. They munched on me. I went down.

One of the perks I had was Quick Revive, which in single-player automatically revives you when you go down. Right in the same place you just went down. In this case, in the middle of a horde of zombies. You know where this is going, don't you?

So anyway, Round 22. Not bad with no help. Got enough points to get to level 20. In the future I have to remind myself NOT to channel my inner Coxxorz.
