HoC Random Stick of the Day - 04122016

It's more than a stick, it's a task specific tool

Wow, didn't I find a great hand model?Wow, didn't I find a great hand model?

So this turned out to be more than a stick. It was a percussive, re-calibration tool for the CRV starter. That this is now required is one additional reason that the CRV is being replaced. Imminently.

Please note that the starter was never actually percussively re-calibrated. The mere threat of the re-calibration tool in Coxxorz's hand was enough to get the recalcitrant starter to serve its proper purpose. Starting the damn car!

See some additional HoC humour and a photo of the stick in its natural habitat after the break.

Please note that this took place in Coxxorz' and my natural habitat. The Starbucks' parking lot.

I told Guba the story of how we had been looking for a dowel or stick to whack the starter when Coxxorz found this awesome re-calibration tool. He had spotted it on his way to help and pulled over to collect it.

I commented to Guba that he had found the perfect stick for the job. Her response:

"He fetched a stick? So he was like a dog?"

What can I say to that? Other than...

    "Who's a good boy?"

It was a desperate search for just the right task-specific Stick, and I had been woefully unsuccessful. I should note that there were a couple of those sticks, - still vertical - in their natural habitat of the Starbucks parking lot. I was contemplating culling one of them for the greater good, when I came upon this wounded individual left behind by the herd.

I am tempted to say "god provided us a Stick in our hour of need", but I suspect this was simply Darwin at work.
