BREAKING NEWS: Q-Bert is in pain

Well, it's not gaming news per-se.

So, I went in for the "Big V" this morning. It's a simple procedure; 15 minutes tops.

The anestesia is "Star Trek standard" using a pressure gun to slam some freezing liquid under the skin. It's not as painless as the Star Trek series would make you think.

But later on, during the procedure, here's an extract of the conversation:

Doctor: You might fell a little squeeze.
Me: Yeah, I kinda expect that considering you have to pretty much pull everythOOH!
Doctor: You FELT that ??
Me: Errrr, yeaOOOOMPH!
Doctor: OK, do you have a history of anestesia not working ?
Me: [Remembers my infected bursitis where the doctors tried to freeze it before putting a knife into my arm... Hadn't worked, felt everything...]
Me: Errr, come to think of it, yeah.
Doctor: It might have been good to have told me that before we began.
Me: In retrospectOOOMPH!, yeah, it probably would have been.
Doctor: Let's do the other side now...

Now I sit on an icepack.
