Blacks Ops 4, complete with a 50GB delay
My copy is presently on a UPS truck but I don't expect to be playing it today...
It was announced by Activision that your physical copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops IV will require a 50 GB day one patch.
- Installing Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 from an Xbox One disc
Before playing for the first time, players will need to download and install a day one update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. This update must be installed completely in order to access Multiplayer, Zombies, and Specialist Headquarters. Blackout is fully playable once installation is about 30% complete (approximately 16-20 GB).
Players must be connected to the internet when inserting the disc for the first time in order to initiate the update installation process. The final installation footprint will be approximately 55 GB.
The day one update package is roughly 50 GB. Download speeds may vary based on region, platform, connection type, and the speed of your internet connection.
50 GB. You did not read that wrong.
Even ignoring the massive cap hit of 50GB patch (and the fact that most Xbox One full are less than 50GB) my issue is download speed.
Without Fibe (and even with) this is a massive amount to download. Keep in mind that thousands of other gamers will be downloading the same thing at the same time and I see no way that I, and many others, will be able to play Black Ops IV today.
I am once again reminded of SeanMCR's comment about Activision and previous Call of Duty titles, "what do you expect from a small development team working out of their garage..."

The Day One Patch rings in at exactly 49.23GB.
But I still am not expecting to be playing today...
