Translating Blackwalt's gaming commentary
I admit I am out of practice.
It has been several years since Blackwalt and I have gamed regularly. Especially coop. Due to this, I was definitely out of practice deciphering the information coming from my 'partner'. I do use that term loosely.
So I figured I might offer some translations for those of you who do not regularly coop with Blackwalt, so you will be better prepared.
Phrase: 'That's not where I meant to throw that grenade'
Translation: 'You are about to die'
Phrase: 'Where did that grenade come from?'
Translation: 'I'm dead, you're on your own'
Phrase: 'A guy just showed up behind me'
Translation: 'I'm dead, you're on your own'
Phrase: 'You take point, I'll cover you'
Translation: 'Go ahead and I'll laugh at you while standing over your dead body'
Phrase: 'I'm heading out, cover me'
Translation: 'I am going wherever I like and I expect you to follow even if you don't have any cover'
Phrase: 'You lead, Private'
Translation: 'I play this way more often than you so I'm a Sargeant and you have to do what I say. And yes, I will laugh at you while standing over your dead body'
These are just a few examples. It is important when playing with Blackwalt that you pay attention to his phrases. If you take them at face value, you are surely doomed.
You're warned.

When playing with Coxxorz, keep your ears peeled for these telling phrases:
Phrase: "What's the button for crouch again?"
Translation: "Get behind me. NOW."
Explanation: The crouch button in COD2 & 3 = the grenade button in R6V.
Phrase: "I can get a grenade in that window, no problem"
Translation: "The entire team is about to die. Make your peace."
Explanation: Throw distance in Rainbow while crouched < from standing position.
Phrase: "Oops"
Translation: "Run."
Explanation: Run.
While Q-Bert ascends the steps leading into a 747 filled with terrorists and Maurice is on top of a nearby hill, monitoring the entrance about to be rushed (we are on the same team):
Phrase from Maurice: "Wait!"
Translation: "I have decided to snipe you behind the head as comic relief for being a sentry on this map, and you are moving too fast for me to get a good shot..."
