Official HoC Movie Night - Hellboy II: The Golden Army
Because we couldn't find a bad movie!
Join the Herd for a Sunday Night viewing of Hellboy II: The Golden Army.
This Sunday, July 13th.
In the Haven! cause I have never seen a movie there and Coxxorz is more likely to come if it's in his own backyard.
6:30 showing! I know, I know, but it is the closest time to 7:00 and I figured 9:15 would be too late. This can be negotiated as long as it is in advance!
Rated 14 Adult Accompaniment so if Q-Bert can not accompany MoriceRevek, he won't be allowed to come (This can be read either way but it was originally meant to target MoriceRevek).
Let the bitching and whining begin!
- With a signature blend of action, humour and character-based spectacle, the saga of the world's toughest, kitten-loving hero from Hell continues to unfold in Hellboy 2: The Golden Army. Bigger muscle, badder weapons and more ungodly villains arrive in an epic vision of imagination from Oscar®-nominated director Guillermo del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy). After an ancient truce existing between humankind and the invisible realm of the fantastic is broken, hell on Earth is ready to erupt. A ruthless leader who treads the world above and the one below defies his bloodline and awakens an unstoppable army of creatures. Now, it's up to the planet's toughest, roughest superhero to battle the merciless dictator and his marauders. He may be red. He may be horned. He may be misunderstood. But when you need the job done right, it's time to call in Hellboy (Ron Perlman). Along with his expanding team in the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Development-pyrokinetic girlfriend Liz (Selma Blair), aquatic empath Abe (Doug Jones) and protoplasmic mystic Johann-the BPRD will travel between the surface strata and the unseen magical one, where creatures of fantasy become corporeal. And Hellboy, a creature of two worlds who's accepted by neither, must choose between the life he knows and an unknown destiny that beckons him.

"Telegraphing"?
Just to let everyone know that Barrhaven at 6:30 is still on. Since no one that is actually attending has complained.
I will be leaving shortly.
Have confirmed some actual attendees.
Meet you there around 6:00, hopefully slightly earlier.
Oh, and if Coxxorz shows up for a second viewing and starts taking about what is coming up in the next scene you have my approval to severely hurt him. Up to and including permanent damage.
The new character is kind of weird, though.
Don't forget Toronto.
Oh wait I won't be in Toronto Sunday at 6:30, how about in Pittsburgh PA. I know its a bit of a drive, but we can make it a road trip.
Sorry, most people here live in Ottawa.
Hey, next time let's head to Vancouver for a movie. No Problem!
the next viewing should be in Vancouver, and the movie of choice should be The Dark Knight.
Let us know how it goes.
Percentage-wise Barrhaven holds the same number of clan members as Ottawa. Or to give it a number 2.
If you exclude Barrhaven from Ottawa, then that would exclude other outlying areas such as Leitrim (2), Nepean (1), Kanata(1) or Boulder(1). These are just the Clan Members whose addresses I know. I have no idea where you live but from the sarcasm I am giving you the benefit of the doubt and assuming you live in Ottawa(2).
The theatre in Barrhaven is also closer to my house (in Ottawa) than South Keys, Silver City, or Kanata. And too close to call with downtown Ottawa Theatres.
If it was solely up to me I would have picked the Colosseum as I can basically hit it with a rock from my house.
I just like making fun of Barrhaven, since it's so isolated. And people there always complain about not having good bus routes, even though anyone who lives there does so because they need a car to get anywhere.
Because of the bad bus routes.
