Too damn cool for words
I originally saw this video of a giant squid like creature being filmed under an oil platform in new Mexico on io9.com.
Being the ever skeptic that I am I went looking for a debunker, not realizing that on io9 there is a link to
National Geographic site with the same video. Seeing as how this is actually on the National Geographic site I would venture to say it is pretty legit.

I would never have guessed you'd have an interest in cryptozoology or even nature in general. This is a side of you we've never seen before.
Or were you searching for giant prawn?
...how I like to keep a mystery about me (which is why I get all the women but that is a different story).
Dude I go on crazy camping/canoe trips I rock climb.
Heck I have even researched how much it would cost to go to Antarctica ($24000).
What I really love is when people say they travel. When they vacation.
Travelers:
Bring a tent with them
Bring only essential stuff (couple of changes of clothes, toilet paper, soap etc).
Stay mostly hostels
Backpack everywhere with no itinerary.
Travel rather cheaply
Vacationers:
Usually stay in hotels or resorts
Have suit cases filled with all the luxury crap
And pretend to be travelers
And love to stick to a schedule
Wine n Dine in fancy restaurants
Just to give an example
When I a went to France it cost $2400 (everything included) total for 23 days traveling around with only 4 days in Paris because really I think Paris is the most overrated place on the planet. Paris was about $230 of the $2400
One of my friends who went to Paris for 10 days (flight and accommodation) for $2100 + plus all the fancy crap that he ate etc.
Which one do you think is better?
