Saturday Night's alright for...
...Rock band 2?
Last Saturday's Hockey Night in Canada was the Montreal Canadiens versus the Ottawa Senators. Stormblade's favourite versus Guba's favourite.
Knowing that Stormblade's copy of Rock Band 2 had arrived and that he was aware of Guba's minor fanaticism with Rock Band 2 I sent him an email around 5 PM. "Guba Says! Rock Band 2 at 7:00," knowing this would set him off and put him in direct conflict with Guba. My evil sense of humor at work.
After starting this plot in motion I then went and informed Guba of what we had just done.
Email back from Stormblade, "Umm.... Habs/Sens?"
Response to Stormblade, "GUBA SAYS!!!!!!!"
Email back from Stormblade, "Gulp... okay..."
Needless to say, both Guba and I were planning on watching Hockey Night in Canada and had no intention of playing Rock Band 2 until the hockey game was over. I figured Stormblade kind of knew this and wasn't really afraid of Guba. Turned out...
So at 10 minutes to 7:00 as we were settling down to watch the hockey game Guba says to me. "you know, it would really be funny if you logged in to Rock Band 2 and invited Stormblade to play." Why yes, yes it would.
So off I go. Boot up my Xbox 360, login into Live, launch Rock Band 2, start a Live tour, and.... Hey look at that, Stormblade is online. And in Rock Band 2! Let's invite him to see what happens... "Stormblade has joined your band" (it doesn't really say that but it is what happened). Ha, ha, ha. So I left him there and went to watch the hockey game. Yes, this is humour. Why do you ask?
This was a typical prank/joke between Stormblade and us but what made it all worthwhile and had us all (well, Guba and I) really laughing was the follow up email from Stormblade at 7:00.
- "The Hockey game is blacked out on NHL Center Ice!!!!" (so he couldn't even watch it!)
Don't worry, it turned out well. We told him all about the game while we were playing Rock Band 2 afterwards.

On adage I have lived my life by that has worked for me so far is:
Don't mess with the Guba.
One adage
That's a typo. I understand you can't tell the difference, so I thought I would point it out.
Was it spelled correctly? Forgeting a letter is the same as not spelling correctly. Revek Sustained.
n/t
missing a letter does not constitute being Reveked.
That was an interesting hockey game! Came down to a shootout and everything.
It was a great game actually I am a Habs fan but I must admit it was a valiant effort by the Suckinators.
I did kinda feel bad for Elliot though, when Kovalev casually skated to the net to score the first SO goal.
The NFL the the AFC championship was quite physical good game to watch.
The NFC was a bit of a shocker.
wtf.
My comment was a bit of an inside joke. When you ask Coxxorz about hockey, his usual reply is 'I don't know, I don't watch football."
Same goes for Q-Bert actually, which has always has made me wonder how he reached adulthood growing up in Sherbrooke.
which has always has made me...
How many has-beens does it take to write a sentence?
I bet you are going to say now that inappropriate repetition of a word in a sentence does not constitute a Revek?
I was actually at said game. I was invited to the private box for some free food and drink, when about halfway into the second inning I noticed there was some kind of activity going on outside on the ice.
That's why I hate you ...
Get with the program
Oh and Revek, if you insist on correcting my typos, I will have to resort to making your life a living hell ...
The girls serving drinks from the private bar were really hot?
In the suite upstairs?
Was her name Riley, Carly or Sarah?
If so, yep you are correct they are hot....
You are not improving my day.
I wasn't able to get any autographs in the locker room afterwards. The Habs were too busy celebrating and whipping each other with wet towels, and the Sens were just... wet towels.
You are not the right gender.
how much I hate you. You don't even like football!
American Football or real football?
We're talking about hockey.
Rockem Sockem: “That Coxxorz is why I keep saying Europeans don't know anything about football!”That explains why Don Cherry was there (see pic above).
All about last night. We actually got Stormblade to join our 3 player band. As the vocalist. We even managed to snag him into a 7 song set. At medium. Although he spent every possible moment between songs complaining about how he did not know the songs, and that he hated us, he still sang each and every one of them.
Now it was not our intention to make him sing all 7 songs, we just wanted to try to make him sing one. But he did it. He sang, well, if we could call it singing, we did not actually ever hear him sing, and he said he mumbled everything.
I wonder if we can get him to sing the 84 song set in Mumble-a-pour.
No need now.
So much for that original content...
I don't know if you can record someone singing. So, did you record the mumbling if you can?
My neighbor is having a problem with raccoons and possums attacking their fruit trees, and maybe Stormblade's "singing" might drive the pest away.
I may be the only member of this pathetic group who actually can sing!
BTW, who voted for Troll's 'Best Rookie' award anyway?? Graybush is nicer....
At least back in the Cannibalistic Blood Orgies days
That was the name of the band I was a member of.
