So I've been thinking....
Saint's Row 2
I know I'm not supposed to but...
I've been thinking about Saint's Row 2. It is a Grand Theft Auto knock off and we all know that GTA4 wasn't a complete favourite of HoC.
But Saint's Row 2 has developed the kind of grass roots, after release, community support and feedback that Crackdown had. The kind of feedback that made me purchase Crackdown. A purchase I will never regret. Crackdown is one of the four games I own that I has surpassed more that fifty hours of play time. A short list that includes Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Rainbow Six Vegas and Burnout Paradise. That's pretty good company.
Saint's Row 2 seems to have an interesting list of entertaining items and activies to pursue:
- armed helicopters
- flamethrowers
- chainsaws
- car surfing
- gatling guns
- streaking (that's in there for Q-Bert)
- drive with an injured pedestrian on the hood of your car
- dress as a pirate
- insurance fraud
- Wear women’s underwear(won't say who that's for)
- Demolition Derby!
- for a longer list
Metacritic has this to say.
So that's where I am at. It supports full two player co-op mode and 2-12 players in open world screwing around mode.
What I am now going to ask (and regret) is whether are not there are more HoC members that share my interest? And/or is there anyone that already owns it and would share their opinion?

Still, I am not interested.
I look forward to a review of the new Burnout DLC by "Monopoly".
That instead of all getting this game, and potentially wasting $500, we shoudl do a co-ordinated rental night, and try it out that way. We could try it tonight as the HoC Sega night, stop at the local rental store and pick it up. If it is really good, and we think that we will play it more often, then we can go and purchase it.
Of course, we could use the copy of Stormblade's Credit Card I made while he was here, and just use that to purchase all of the copies required, and use them as coasters if it turns out to be a crappy game.
That's pretty short notice, even for us. I would think the blizzard is going to limit how many of us get out to rent it. I was thinking more Burnout bikes challenges.
What does everybody think?
I don't rent, so that would be problematic for me. Also, anything that compares itself to GTA is an automatic turnoff for me.
Burnout sounds good.
(with stormbalde imagine that!).
I disobeyed my natural instincts when my subconscious was telling me not to get GTA4 (because I didn't like all the previous installments). But because of the realism, open ended, online play and great story I succumbed to the overpowering marketing crap. And wasted $60. Though I do intend to re-visit and finish it. But that will be waaaay after.
Any more votes?
...Burnout sounds good to me too. At least until Mac girl shows up.
Mac Girl...
In fact, I have all of you to thank for it, because I would not have had an 'opener'
You should let Q-bert know.
Although I could see Aku having a Menage-à-Nerd.
that Steve Jobs is a girl, he has hormone inbalances.
Defending Steve Jobs here by any stretch, but the last time I saw you, it appeared that you had man boobs. Though that usually has nothing to do with hormonal imbalances.
I checked.
..If that is the case he has to much estrogen. He needs to up his testosterone intake. Though, it may make him lose his hair but if I remember correctly, he has steel wool for hair so I think it will be a none issue.
Then what do you do for someone like me, who clearly has too much testosterone?
They are gonna talk about how big their CPU's are all night.
(cue Aku script)
