Launch day 360's no longer under extra warranty

More details at Destructoid.

Unfortunately for me I have no idea when my Xbox 360 core was built as I am on my fourth (!!!!) one since I got it. Twice under warranty and once under the extended MoriceRevek payment plan. That's where he borrows it, he breaks it, and you get to pay for it.

This is an extended deadline as the original 3 year plan expired last September.

Why would even bother sending it in for repair?

Cost to repair $120
Cost of an Arcade $199

Though I am assuming you can plug your hard drive into the arcade.

For RROD, anyway. I think the Revek repair had something to do with Chili in the drive tray.

It is after the warranty period.
Which is the point of this thread isn't it?

do our comments have to have anything to do with the point of the thread??

You should know better by now.

It could have been an overdose of certain questionable game purchases.

I seem to remember you having your xbox 'closed' in.
That could be the reason for the RROD seeing as how it can not 'breath' or cool down.

Just saying that is all...

Hmm, we'll I'm screwed then.

Just send it in now, save some time.
