OnLive: The Future of gaming?

Wow this seems impressive and could be the wave of the future.

I think that there could be serious problems with a device like this.

First of all, I still don't believe that a regular internet connection would be able to handle that much data. And this is the most serious problem, what happens if your connection is slow? Or even down completely? Even playing games with a slight amount of lag would be extremely annoying and possibly unplayable.

Second, while I can't seem to find out of games are "rented" or "bought" (it seems that you rent them, as they describe the system as "on demand"), I have a problem with the fact that you never actually own the games themselves. What happens if OnLive shuts down their operation? Your games will be gone forever, that's what. This is also a slight concern for me with downloadable content (whether on Steam of Xbox live), as if you lose some downloaded game and want to play it, say, 5 years from now, you might be out of luck if a download isn't provided (even though you bought the game).

And they ripped off the Xbox 360 controller.
