Any month now...
After my RROD console was replaced in a week, it came to my attention that another HoC Member still had not sent in his RROD console that broke several months ago. Sometime in 2008 I believe.
This is not at all related to that.

I'll get right on it... tomorrow.
Too clarify matters... my original Xbox 360 performed quite well until about this time last year. After the appearance of the RROD, a support call was made and a coffin was sent... to the wrong address. After a delay and a bit of procrastination on my part, a replacement was returned. Turn around time was less than two weeks, not counting the initial 6 weeks lost because of their shipping foul-up and my procrastination in chasing them down.
The "new" unit was a bit flaky. Once in a blue moon it would spontaneously reboot in the middle of a game (campaign mode or online). Unfortunately the frequency of these reboots increased to the point where it would happen at least during a gaming session. Annoying, but barely tolerable.
Then... the dreaded RROD reappeared... shortly after I finished Halo Wars so that would be in late March or early April. I'd have placed a call then were it not for the fact that I couldn't get my game out of the console.
Eventually I was able to reboot the console and retrieve my game but the RROD reappeared. It's been out of commission for about 6-8 weeks which barely qualifies as months... certainly not as 2008.
On that note... gotta run. I'd place the call now except I truly have to run.
Oh yeah... love the comic.
