Minions riding wolves and killing gay elves. What else would you want?
K, so, downloaded the demo for Overlord 2 yesterday and finished it in 15 minutes. No, not much of a demo, but it gave a feel for what the game will be like.
Which is pretty much more of the same, but much prettier.
Stupid minions (vaguely HoC-like) riding wolves, cute fuzzy creatures ... to kill mercilessly. The queer California surfer dude elves were a nice touch, especially when you are killing them. Pretty graphics, similar gameplay.
Hard to rate what it will be like judging by the demo, but it's obvious I will buy it on release day and play it until my eyes hurt so much I can't even sleep. Which will just mean I will have to continue playing.
Better do a bunch of really nice things for the GF beforehand, since I will have to abandon her for days ... and days.

It's prettier, bigger, smoother but the supposedly improved minions aren't.
One of my issues with the first game was the tendency of minions NOT to pickup loot. You could run 10 of them over a bag of gold and they would ignore it and run back to you.
This is much worse. I ran 15 of them into an area full of gold and souls. I had to run them into any area 4-5 times to clean it out. I'd rather be moving on to the next area than spending 10 minutes painstakingly clearing out loot from each area.
Run them in, stop them near the loot, wait for them to not pick up anything and run back to me. Rinse and repeat.
I'll probably still buy it because I am funny that way but I was disappointed that they didn't fix this. Hopefully this is only a problem in the demo but somehow I don't think so.
I had the same problem, but I figured I was missing something. I couldn't imagine them making that worse on purpose.
I'm prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I tried the demo, BORING! Everyone knows a really true evil entity will have plenty of scantily clad women running around.

If I ever have the time to play single player games again, it will likely be racing games, since nobody here plays the ones we have anymore.
Or I'd finish Saints Row 2.
