Coxxorz's Bargain Corner – 07292009
Acting on a tip from Coxxorz (see) I dropped by a local Staples.
He had sent me looking for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Game of the Year edition. Apparently it "is on clearance, and scans at $25 despite the sticker price. If you happen to go by a Staples (not Barrhaven, already looked), could you have a look if they have one?"
Well it's not in Bells Corners either but I did discover something else.
Crackdown new for $9.97. Well worth the $10 if you haven't played it. This is another game that is meant to be played co-op but is still good single player.
The also had Rock Band 2 for $29.97, Ninja Gaiden II for $14.97, and Too Human for $14.97. All of these games are worth the price listed if you are interested in them at all. PS: I do have an extra wired guitar if you end up needing one.
Staples inventories are notoriously different across the separate stores so you never know what you may find.

At Staples Merivale - this is the entire kit, drums, guitar, microphone and Rock Band 1. For XBox 360, duh!
There is an 25% deal of all computers and game but no idea if it applies.
That's pretty good! Almost makes me want to buy it.
Almost.
I should point out that I already have two copies of CoD4 (two Xboxes), but my used Game Of The Year edition didn't actually include the bonus maps. Turns out that GOTY is not a different version of the software with the maps already installed, instead it's the same old disc, but with a card with a DLC code included (or not).
In fact, the latest versions of the GOTY edition sold new on store shelves don't even include the free maps anymore!
