Ok brief history of my MW2 ordering fiasco

Oct 18, 2009 - Coxxorz posts this sale. Of course I plan to stay up later than usual to try to get this and what happens I fall asleep. Only to wake up the next day seeing that they were sold out. They only had 200 copies apparently.

Oct 19, 2009 - Of course Failure shop decides to release another 200 copies @ 2:45pm EST. And of course I missed the boat again

Oct 21, 2009 - Pre-Order it physically at failure shop deposit $5 the bill was actually $5.65 ( with taxes, keep this value in mind). Just as a backup.

Oct 30, 2009 - After Coxxorz posted This opportunity and I managed to get it!

Nov 9, 2009 - at 9:51PM I get a shipping notice from Best Buy. Now, I am thinking I am fairly certain that I will not get it by tomorrow

Nov 10, 2009 - Early morning I look up the tracking number and I see this:

2009/11/09 22:33 MISSISSAUGA Item processed at postal facility
2009/11/09 20:30 MISSISSAUGA An order has been electronically submitted
2009/11/09 19:51 MISSISSAUGA Item transferred for processing

So now I am definitely thinking ok there is no way I am going to get it today.

I meet up with Chinup girl we go to Failure shop and pick up our copies. A little later that day Fungster points out that they had an extra $0.65 added from the preorder deposit. I check the receipt see that he is right and decide bah! I will probably waste more gas and time than it's worth.

I check my mail on the way home (4:30ish). Nothing but usual crap.

Nov 11, 2009 - Because of remembrance day, I didn't bother checking my mail. I check the tracking again and it says the same as above.

Nov 12, 2009 - I check the the tracking number again and I see the same as above.
I check again about an hour later and I see this:

2009/11/10 17:23 NEPEAN Item successfully delivered
2009/11/10 13:54 NEPEAN Item out for delivery

Now, I thinking WTF? so I actually got this on Tuesday?
So during lunch I head home and sure enough it was in my lock box.

So I get my Failure shop receipt and head to Failure shop.
I get there and say hey well I got a copy of this as a gift I would just like to get the money back from my original purchase. So Failure shop Girl (FSG) says ok, I also explain to her the $0.65 thing. Again she said no problem.

* hand her the credit card *
* runs the credit card twice *
When I saw that I am thinking ok that is strange.

She hands me back two receipts one for a refund of 67.79 (59.99 + taxes). Still no $0.65 but I really didn't care.
And another for a refund of $6.38 (5.65 + taxes).

Being the honest guy that I am a proceed to explain that she did this wrong.
She took offence and starting saying no, I did right with a less than attractive voice.

I was like have a nice day.

So let's do the math:

$49.99 (price I paid at Best Buy)
-$5.65 (extra refund and failure shop).

So I actually got the game for 44.34 (50.10 taxes in)

How is that for a deal...eh?
