Well those of us old enough to remember the original. Will remember how good it was at least until you watch again as an adult and you wonder WTF? I actually watched this crap?
This new series is well, a little better, though the special effects are still pretty cartoonie. Though the plot is more or less the same as the original (thus far). ** SPOILERS ** Slight differences, like the aliens are in sleeper cells and have been on earth for many years planning. Nothing new here.
I just think this will be like another BSG. It will be really good in the beginning, then there will be some chickflickish dramatic crap. Then it will end.
I give three years max.

It was exactly what I thought it would be: BSG on earth.
The only thing it has going for it is two cast members from Firefly.
Although I did enjoy the subtle swastika motif on the kids' uniforms.

Yes, I remember that one. But what I'm talking about is more subtle than a blatant logo. I can't find a complete example, but look at this photo. See the grey flap on the top pocket? There's a matching flap on the opposite side of the gray zipper, but on the bottom pocket of the jacket.
Sneaky, eh?
