Mysterio not so Galactic after all

So Coxxorz (Deadpool) and I (Captain America) went into Marvel Ultimate Alliance once again last night and discovered that Mysterio wasn't the second coming of Galactus. We also saved the world's mutant population, a large Dam, a five storey mobile lab and discovered that M.O.D.O.K. is a sore loser at Trivial Pursuit. I think it was the two AI characters that made us so effective: Luke Cage and Human Torch.

I did discover a few things along the way.

I just look cool

• Coxxorz likes Deadpool. Doesn't use any of his super powers but likes him. I think its the funky outfit and the two swords. Coxxorz realized he carried guns half way through the night.
• If you can only play for 30 min, don't play. Distance between S.H.I.E.L.D. Access points is substantial and it is difficult to finish some of the areas in that small a window.
• If you enter into a pause menu or change team menu all players have to ready up to exit the menu.
• If you save the game, all players have to select a save point and save the game before you can exit the menu.
• Comic book simulations are single player only. It will let you enter the simulation with more than one player, but only one player can play the simulation.
• It's still fun.
• Twice now I played with two players and had no lag issues. We need to do another experiment with four players.
• I like Captain America but playing as Human Torch is just fracking cool. You can burst into flame and fly as well as being able to fill the room with flames.
• Fire bad

Marvel Ultimate Alliance definitely requires more play testing by the Herd of Cats Avengers. Hopefully with a full team of four.

Next up, the Atlantis S.H.I.E.L.D. Outpost where our Legion of Disorganization will proceed to make Tiger Shark and Attuma look like 'B' class super villians. It's important to have a team concept and ours is making super villains look not so bad.
