Undead Nightmare: the massacre
HoC vs Undead Overrun. The Zombies Won. Again.
Rockstar Games explains Red Dead Redemption's Undead Overrun as such:
- In Undead Overrun, the explosive, bloody and gooey new co-op multiplayer survival mode in Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare, players online work together to fend off relentless waves of infected zombies rising up from the ground in graveyards and a bit hungry from their dirt nap.
The "work together" should have tipped us off.
Note: Stormblade didn't really dance as the Undead Horde chewed on the rest of us. Thank god.
Yesterday Stormblade, Coxxorz, Graybush and I got together to try out the Undead Nightmare DLC for Red Dead Redemption. We met up at Coxxorz' and decided to give the RDR Undead what for.
Yes, it was a Lan Party. Didn't you get your invite? No? Shocking!
Did I mention that the RDR Undead Nightmare DLC only supports 4 players? What an odd coincidence.
Don't worry, we also played other games that only supported four players as well.
Anyway, back to the topic.
Playing the Undead Nightmare DLC we found ourselves somewhat overwhelmed by the constant dying to zombies and it took us a while to get our groove on.
A couple of times we did lament that we really needed some more idea of what was going on. As well as some kind of strategy.
Fortunately Rockstar Games is here to help with RDR Gaming Tips: Surviving Undead Overrun.
Basically the whole point of this story was to post the above link. Everything else was just filler. There are however a couple of points I want to emphasize from the offered tips.
- Undead Overrun is a team-based mode - so work co-operatively.
- It's never a bad idea to throw dynamite right on a downed player (that's a strategy? We just did it for fun!)
- When you get the "Kill remaining zombies" screen, the timer stops counting down
- Watch each other's backs.
- find a good solid crew to play with (so... you know... other people.)

Why is Stormblade's avatar disco dancing?
Disco is in his blood!
Ah! Ah! Ah! Ah!
Poor Acid in my eyes!
Stormblade is dancing!
Acid usually lacks the capability of accumulating wealth.
When will someone make a co-op game that doesn't require frigging teamwork all the time?!
