Among others things. His wife and kids are also here.
I talk to him on the phone in advance. "Make sure you bring Crackdown. I thought we should have a two player game in case no one else is online."
So Q-bert shows up with Crackdown. Only Crackdown.
Am I right in considering him an idiot?

What to you mean by 'consider'? I thought it was obvious.
..that Crackdown would be the game of choice. Had other online games been considered, and other online players anticipated I'm sure he felt some 'warning' that you were going to be online might have been posted. That's assuming there is a place where these warnings cane be made public.
