It looks like Alienware may have a solution for me.
Of course, there is also the Panasonic solution although with Alienware I would only need a bigger desk, with Panasonic I would need a new house. A much bigger new house.

how the aspect ratio can be maintained properly on that thing. I mean, would any games even support a 2880x900 resolution?
Might not look very nice on your Xbox/PS3, but it should work fine for PC games.
Wouldn't it be the same as watching a widescreen movie on a standard tv? Parts will get streched or cut off (assuming the movie isn't formatted for a 4:3 aspect ratio).
Even some older games like Quake let you enter custom resolutions in the config file. I bet it would work. Buy one and I'll check for you.
