I doubt that it is fake. The drives do make noise of varying pitch and tone, and for someone that is electronically inclined, it is not that difficult to programm them to move the read head to where they want to achieve the semblance of music. Sort of like Stormblade's writting. He knows all kinds of words and grammar and puctuation rules and such. He can put them all together to write thousands of words. Now if only he can figure out how to make people want to read it.
I can see him doing this with the Hello Kitty and Care Bears themes.
I have no clue what the care bears theme is like. Never watched it.
As for Hello Kitty, what is wrong with that? That was the greatest piece of music to have come out in a long time. Why just typing this, I am already signing the song.

I have a little project for the electronically inclined. I have a hat. A nice hat. One where when people see me, they start to sing the Indiana Jones theme song. I want to put one of those musical gift card devices in the hat so that when I squeze it, it starts to play that tune. The Indie song that is. Not the Nyan Cat. Nor the Hello Kitty thing.
