I believe Germany and Russia went to war sometime in 1941, not 1940.
If you click on the link and see the whole thing you will see that it does say that. ie Operation Barabossa...
Also, this was only the beginning of "diplomatic" friction between Russia and Germany.
There are several mistakes though.
But it was a fun thing to read.
