We've got badges!

So I logged into Call of Duty Elite just to read the latest protests, and a funny thing happened... we've received our clan xp!

So instead of the usual amusing threats and rhetoric about quitting Elite and suing Activision/Infinity Ward/Dog, I pored over our recent stats. It turns out we've got two bronzes, which unsurprisingly contradicts what the site was telling me earlier in the week. No matter, that's still 500XP, pushing into Level 5 and halfway to Level 6. In fact, we just need another bronze to get the next level!

If you log in, you'll see that Seanmcr and Blackwalt have done most of the work so far, although exact numbers seem to be changing almost daily. In fact, sometimes the website will insist we've never registered for any Clan Ops! I guess that's what $50 x hundreds of thousands gets you these days. Anyways, more of the events we DID participate in should be appearing over the next few days. And hopefully they'll add more Clan Ops soon!

Now the fun stuff: one of the things that being Level 5 unlocks is clan mottos and clan title graphics! Unfortunately the title graphics are lame (just country flags and one generic one), and the clan motto is limited to 14 letters.

That's right, "Random is a St".

What, a Saint? A street? For crying out loud, Beachhead.

Fortunately, the Clan Emblem generator is WAY better. The Elite website tools for emblem creation blow Black Ops out of the water. Graphic elements are divided into categories by subject matter. Sadly there are no cats in the Animals section, but hopefully we will unlock some in one of the emblem packs later on. And one other bummer is that there are only 8 layers plus a fill and a border. So it doesn't look good for recreating our official logo once again. In the meantime, at least, there is an entire section of skulls.
