Another Clan Op!
Our clan XP for the last competition has been awarded, and we just need 13 more points to level up. Thirteen!
All we'd need to do is bump into someone fairly hard, or shout some choice obscenities to earn that. But sadly, that's not how it works.
The smallest denomination is 250 points, and that's for earning Bronze. But an interesting thing happened tonight. We discovered that Bronze badges are not awarded for finishing in the top 50% as before, but for the top 100%.
But before you go jumping up and down thinking we're in for a free 250 just for signing up (like I did), you should be aware that there is one stipulation. From the Criteria:
"Bronze: All remaining clans with participants whom scored."
So there you have it. Just one of us has to show up on Friday between 8pm and 11pm, and kill one guy. Yes, it's Team Deathmatch again. A game type that relies on skills and reflexes, not hiding in a corner with a flag, or picking up tags that other people have dropped. So for Pete's sake don't let Blackwalt finish first again.

Friday's Clan Op has earned as another Bronze and 250XP, which has officially put us into Level 6! While that in itself does not get us anything, it does put us one step closer to Level 7, which unlocks Emblem Generator Pack 2. To get there, we only need 401 XP, which is one silver badge, or two more bronzes. Guess which one I'm expecting.
I was curious how many points it takes to level up each time (since Activision - their infinite wisdom - doesn't indicate this anywhere), so I thought I'd do a little number crunching. We were 13 points short of level 6 before, which means we should now be 237 towards level 7. Since the graphic on the Clan page says we need 401 more, that means it takes 237+401, or 638 XP total to go from level 6 to 7. Nice, round number.
See? Artists can do math things.
No further Clan ops have been posted since then, but they do seem to show up on short notice. Watch this space. In the meantime, I noticed a couple of Lone Wolf Ops with interesting prizes have been abruptly cancelled. Although they curiously still seem to allow people to sign up. So feel free to enlist for a free bronze badge.
